Paramilitary recruitment process to be completed in four weeks: Board
The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced that the paramilitary recruitment exercise will be completed in the next four weeks.
Abdulmalik Jubril, secretary to the board, announced this in a statement on Friday in Abuja.
The board is currently recruiting into the four paramilitary agencies under the Ministry of Interior.
The agencies are the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Federal Fire Service, the Nigeria Immigration Service and the Nigerian Correctional Service.
According to Mr Jubril, the recruitment process has now reached its last stages and once concluded, candidates will be informed through the recruitment website, https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng
“It is the intention of the CDCFIB not to rush the entire recruitment process but to bring it to completion without any prejudice to the principles of justice, merit, federal character, due process and the operational requirements of the four services.
“The large number of applications received across the country places upon the board the duty of ensuring that there is a comprehensive, just, and transparent selection into the services, both on the part of the applicants and the processes involved,” he said.
The board acknowledged the tremendous amount of anticipation that exists around the current recruitment process.
Mr Jubril appreciated all candidates for their patience, and assured the public that candidates’ patience would be rewarded.
