Petr Cech to leave Chelsea by end of June

Petr Cech will by the end of June quit his role as technical and performance adviser at Chelsea.
Cech is the latest official to be leaving Chelsea after the club’s takeover by a consortium headed by Todd Boehly, an American businessman.
“With the club under new ownership, I feel now is the right time for me to step aside,” Cech said. “I am pleased that the club is now in an excellent position with the new owners and I am confident of its future success both on and off the pitch.”
His exit from Stamford Bridge comes a few days after the departure of director Marina Granovskaia.
Bruce Buck, Chelsea chairman, will also be stepping down by the end of June.
Cech, 40, a former Chelsea goalkeeper, returned to Stamford Bridge as an official in 2019.
As a player, Cech won four English Premier League titles and a Champions League during his 11 years spell at the club.
