A House of Assembly aspirant for Pankshin North Constituency of Plateau State, Yilchir Yiltawe, has advised his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), to conduct a free, fair and credible primary election in the state.

Mr Yiltawe gave the advice during an interview on Wednesday in Pankshin.

The aspirant called on the leadership of the APC to ensure a level-playing ground for all aspirants without imposition.

He also urged the party to create room for members to vote the aspirants of their choice, adding that such move would enable popular persons to emerge as its candidates.

He stated, “What we are doing is a family affair, and everyone should be considered a family member. The party should allow popular opinion to prevail because after the primaries, we will face other political parties.

“If popular opinion does not prevail, at the end of the primaries, the party will face serious setback during the general elections.”

Mr Yiltawe, however, expressed confidence in the leadership of the APC to deliver a credible primaries.
