Police arrest wanted robbery suspect in Anambra
The police command in Anambra has arrested a wanted robbery suspect in Abagana in the Njikoka Local Government of the state.
The police public relations officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday in Awka.
“Operatives of the Anambra Police Command attached to Rapid Response Squad, Awkuzu, have arrested a wanted 34-year-old suspect (name withheld) in Abagana.
“The suspect arrested on September 20 has been on the police wanted list for (alleged) involvement in armed robbery,” he said.
Mr Ikenga said that during the arrest, one Magnum Pump Action gun and 12 live cartridges were recovered from him..
The police spokesman said the suspect was currently in custody and would be charged in court upon conclusion of the investigation.
