Police arrest woman for physically assaulting her children

A mother, Busola Oyediran, was on Friday arrested in the Egbeda area of Lagos State for physically abusing her biological children.
The children’s mother alongside her partner, Akebiara Emmanuel, were taken into custody by the police.
The children, aged two and five, were rescued by the police after neighbours reported that their mother was in the habit of torturing them daily.
When questioned, the mother denied that she inflicted the injuries on their bodies and blamed the scars on motorcycle accident.
Police spokesperson in Lagos, Benjamin Hundeyin, said the couple are in custody and will be arraigned in court on Monday.
The children’s father have been alerted by the police.
