Police confirm killing of another Ebubeagu operative in Ebonyi
The police in Ebonyi on Friday confirmed the killing of Christian Iboko, a 26-year-old operative of the Ebubeagu Security Network by gunmen.
Command spokesperson Loveth Odah said in Abakaliki that Iboko was murdered on Thursday night.
Ms Odah said that the deceased was trailed and killed at his family house at Nduogbuovu community, Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi.
In condemning the killing, the command said it was investigating the incident and a manhunt was underway to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to book.
“The Commissioner of Police, Mr Aliyu Garba, has ordered for a serious manhunt in the area. I assure you, our officers will work round the clock to arrest those involved,” she said.
Recall that another Ebubeagu personnel was killed on March 23, in his house in Ezza North LGA of the state.
