Queen of Rock Tina Turner is dead

American musician, Tina Turner, widely referred to as the “Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll” has died at the age of 83.
The musician had been diagnosed with intestinal cancer in 2016 and had a kidney transplant a year later. She had suffered from the illness for years in her home in Küsnacht and was confirmed dead on Wednesday by her spokesperson.
The spokesperson revealed that Tina died “peacefully” in her home, saying “with her, the world loses a music legend and a role model. With her music and her inexhaustible vitality, Tina Turner thrilled millions of fans and inspired many artists of subsequent generations.”
On Tina’s official Instagram page, her picture was posted and captioned, “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tina Turner. With her music and her boundless passion for life, she enchanted millions of fans around the world and inspired the stars of tomorrow.
“Today we say goodbye to a dear friend who leaves us all her greatest work: her music. All our heartfelt compassion goes out to her family. Tina, we will miss you dearly.”
