Reps summon emergency plenary session for today

The House of Representatives has summoned an emergency plenary session at 1 p.m. on Sunday to address undisclosed “pressing legislative actions.”
This was contained in a directive issued by the house clerk, Yahaya DanZaria on Saturday.
“This is to inform all Hon Members, the general public and staff that an emergency session requiring pressing legislative actions is slated for tomorrow Sunday, 28th May, 2023 at 1:00 pm.
“All members are advised to use the Villa Gate for ease of access. The leadership deeply regrets any inconvenience,” the statement read.
The Sunday session is the first of its kind since 2019 as the 9th house, which will end early next month, braces its activities with emergency sessions. The Senate held a similar session on Saturday where it extended the implementation of N819 billion supplementary budget by seven months.
