Rivers APC chairman congratulates Olaka Nwogu on Senate by-election victory

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Tony Okocha, has congratulated Senator Olaka Nwogu on his victory in the Rivers South-East senatorial district by-election held on Saturday.
Mr Okocha, in a congratulatory message signed and made available to journalists in Port Harcourt on Sunday, described Mr Nwogu’s victory as a clear endorsement of his integrity, leadership capacity, and commitment to public service.
According to him, the outcome of the election reflects the confidence reposed in the senator-elect by the people of Rivers South-East senatorial district.
“Your election is a clear endorsement of your integrity, capacity, and the trust the people of Rivers South-East senatorial district have in your leadership.
“This reflects years of dedicated service and the confidence that you will represent your senatorial district and your people with diligence, courage, and distinction at the National Assembly,” he said.
The APC chairman said the party celebrated the victory not only as a political achievement for the APC in Rivers State but also as a success for the Rainbow Coalition and the Renewed Hope Family.
He described the victory as a triumph for democracy and good governance, expressing confidence that Mr Nwogu’s experience would translate into effective representation and impactful legislation.
“We are confident that your wealth of experience will translate into effective representation, impactful legislation, and developmental strides for your people,” Mr Okocha stated.
He assured the senator-elect of the party’s support as he prepared to assume his new legislative responsibility.
Mr Okocha also expressed optimism that Mr Nwogu’s tenure would be marked by wisdom, strength, and achievements that would positively impact the district’s people.
He further commended the electorate for what he described as a wise choice, saying that the people of Rivers South-East senatorial district had demonstrated confidence in Mr Nwogu’s ability to serve their interests.
Mr Nwogu emerged as the winner of the Rivers South-East senatorial district by-election conducted in seven local government areas of Rivers State on June 20.
