Rivers Utd win 2021/2022 NPFL title

Kano Pillars FC have congratulated Rivers United FC for emerging champions of the 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional football league season.
This is contained in a statement by the club’s spokesman, Rilwan Malikawa, on Tuesday in Kano.
According to the statement, Kano Pillars’ management, players and technical crew felicitate Rivers United for emerging champions of the NPFL.
“On behalf of Kano Pillars, we wish to congratulate Rivers United Football Club for winning the 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional Football League title even with three matches before the official end of the season,” said the Kano Pillars statement.
The club described the new champions as worthy champions who achieved their success through determination.
“We are confident that Rivers United would make good representation for the country in the forthcoming CAF champions league and wish them successful outings,” added the club.
Rivers United were confirmed NPFL champions on Saturday following Akwa United’s 2-1 victory over second-placed Plateau United who are 10 points behind the Pride of Rivers with three games before the end of the season.
