Salah nets record-breaking Champions League treble as Liverpool lynch Rangers 7-1

Salah nets a record-breaking second-half hat-trick in six minutes as Liverpool hammered Scottish side Rangers 7-1 at home in the Group A fixture on Wednesday.
Liverpool have been struggling since the beginning of the season, but with their hope of scaling through to the next knock stage of the competition, the Reds were on fire.
Scott Arfield scored to put Rangers in the lead early in the match, but Roberto Firmino cancelled the goal seven minutes later as the first half ended 1-1.
Roberto Firmino continued with his impressive goal-scoring form when he scored a second and doubled Liverpool’s lead 10 minutes into the second half.
Darwin Núñez netted the visitors’ third goal in the fixture before Salah, who came on for the latter in the 68th minute, scored in the 75th, 80th, and 81st minutes consecutively to score a six-minutes-12-second hat-trick.
It is the fastest hat-trick ever scored in the Champions League’s history.
Núñez’s goal was his first for Liverpool in European football since joining Liverpool in the summer.
Youngster Harvey Elliott sealed the victory for Liverpool with his 87th-minute goal as the defeat sent Rangers out of the UEFA Champions League.
Rangers have yet to win any of their four matches in the competition, while the victory further pushes Liverpool to the pole position to reach the round of 16.
Liverpool is currently second in Group A, three points adrift of Napoli (12 points), who thrashed Ajax 4-2 earlier in the day to qualify for the knockout stage.
Ajax sit third in the group with three points – a win or draw for Liverpool in their final two matches means the Dutch outfit would be out of the competition.
