Sanwo-Olu appoints Bamgbose-Martins Commissioner for Physical Planning

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos has appointed Omotayo Bamgbose-Martins as the new Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development.
Gbenga Omotoso, commissioner for Information and Strategy, made the announcement during a press conference on Wednesday.
Mr Omotoso said that the appointed commissioner “is coming into the ministry with a wealth of experience.”
Mr Bamgbose-Martins was formerly the state’s commissioner of special duties.
He was appointed as the commissioner after the resignation of Idris Salako on Monday.
Mr Bamgbose-Martins obtained his first degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University).
He also got his Master degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Lagos majoring in Highways/Transportation, according to the state’s website.
He is a Fellow of Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE), Member of Institute of Highway Transportation (MIHT) and a Registered Engineer (COREN).
Mr Salako resigned barely a day after a seven-story building caved in leading to the death of six persons.
