Saudi Arabia’s digital encyclopaedia to showcase kingdom’s culture, heritage

Saudi Arabia launched the “Saudipedia” digital platform during the Future of Media Exhibition in Riyadh as part of the Saudi Media Forum activities.
The platform, also referred to as the Saudi encyclopedia, was launched by Saudi Minister of Media Salman bin Al-Dosari, local media reported.
He explained that it was designed to be a primary reference to the kingdom, providing reliable information in multiple languages.
He said, “Saudipedia aims to become the primary source of information about the leadership, people, history, geography, and culture of Saudi Arabia.’’
FOMEX kicked off on Monday as one of the largest specialised media exhibitions in the Middle East, hosting over 200 local and international companies for three days.
It showcased the latest technical, creative, and innovative aspects in all areas of media.
