The new executive members took their oath of office, administered by a lawyer from the State Ministry of Justice, Anisa Abubakar-Udu.

The new exco members are Atiku Alkali as chairman; Aliyu Gadanga as first vice chairman; Tani Joy-Sunday as second vice chairman; Abdurrahman Fakai as treasurer; Zainab Jabbo as legal; and Aliyu Isa as auditor, alongside other ex-officio members.

In a goodwill message shortly after the formal inauguration, the association’s national president, Tommy Etim-Okon, lauded the members for exhibiting a high sense of decorum, understanding, and resolve for the collective good of the association.

“Today is a day for speaking to delegates to clearly and openly choose a new set of leaders that will play a vital role towards strengthening and consolidating on the efforts of their predecessors in Kebbi,” he stated.

On his part, Joshua Apebo, the association’s secretary general, highlighted some achievements of the association, including successful negotiations on wage review for civil servants in the country, the formulation of policy directions for enhancement and improvement of the condition of service for civil servants, and the sponsorship of members to international workshops in South Africa and the United Arab Emirates.
