SERVICOM committee reiterates commitment to improved service delivery
The Global Ministerial Servicom Committee has reiterated its commitment to improving service delivery and citizens’ experiences in Nigeria’s public service.
The chairman of the committee, Yusuf Saeed, made the promise during the 2024 fourth-quarter GMSC meeting and capacity-building workshop held at the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) office in Kaduna.
Mr Saeed tasked members of the GMSC to ensure that the public service is centred around the needs of citizens.
He added the committee’s collective efforts and shared commitment to improved public service would ensure meaningful change in the lives of citizens.
He urged participants to build on the momentum achieved, leverage collective expertise, and commit to actionable outcomes to serve their communities better.
Earlier, the executive secretary of the NBTE, Idris Bugaje, stated that the board had the largest support for SERVICOM, hence the transformation recorded over the years.
Bugaje said the workshop would allow MDAs in the education sector to brainstorm and review their work for better service delivery.
Similarly, the national coordinator of the SERVICOM Office, Nnenna Akajomoli, stated that challenges and solutions would be discussed, adding that a report on implementing plans would be submitted.
Ms Akajo said discussing how to improve service delivery in MDAs was the aim of the meeting.
