Several people killed in Kano as violent thugs attack residents, Fagge LGA imposes curfew

Fagge local government has imposed a curfew on two wards following incessant clashes between rival groups of thugs.

The violence led to attacks on innocent residents.

This is disclosed in a statement on Monday by the council’s spokesman, Tasi’u Yahaya-Dadinduniya.

The council chairman, Salisu Usman-Masu, announced the curfew after an emergency meeting with stakeholders over the repeated clashes in the area.

According to him, the curfew restricts movement between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. daily in Fagge D1 and Fagge D2 wards.

“The Fagge Local Government Assembly, under the leadership of chairman, Alhaji Salisu Usman-Masu, has imposed a curfew on Fagge D1 and Fagge D2 wards from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

“The measure follows recent clashes among youths in the area that have resulted in loss of lives,” the statement said.
