Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ rakes $2 billion at global box office

Marvel and Sony’s “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” has grossed $2 billion at the global box office after only three weeks in theatres.
It becomes the second fastest film and the world’s eighth movie to reach the milestone.
The movie surpassed its projected trajectory in 17 days after its global release, grossing 785.8 million domestically and $1.236 billion worldwide, behind “Avengers: Endgame,” which reached the $2 billion mark in 11 days.
The film also officially becomes Sony Pictures’ highest-grossing film of all time and the eighth film to reach the 2 billion mark, joining James Cameron’s Avatar (2009), which grossed $2.92 billion, and Avengers: Endgame (2019), which earned $2.8 billion.
It also joins 2022’s Avatar: The Way of Water, which raked $2.33 billion; 1997’s Titanic, with $2.26 billion; Ne Zha 2 (2025), which secured $2.2 billion; Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015), which earned $2.07 billion; and Avengers: Infinity War, which made $2.05 billion in 2018.
In the movie’s third global weekend in theatres, it reached $188.7 million, gaining $70 million at the domestic box office.
It also beat Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” in its competition at both the global and domestic box office, as the Greek epic hit $1.2 billion globally following its fifth global weekend in theatres, and the film hit over $500 million at the domestic box office.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is moving towards breaking 2021’s “No Way Home” record at the domestic box office, which gained over $800 million in 2021, grossing $1.9 billion internationally.
