Manchester United slipped from top four of the English Premier League log on Tuesday after playing a 1-1 draw with relegation-bound Burnley at Turf Moor.

Burnley, at the bottom of the EPL log, held United to a frustrating draw, causing a setback to Manchester’s pursuit to be in the top four this season.

Man Utd had 65 per cent possession, with five shots on target, while the home side had 35 per cent possession with three shots on target.

The Red Devils started off attacking intent, scoring two goals disallowed by the VAR. But Paul Pogba gave the visitors the lead, scoring in the 18th minute.

With a goal lead, United went into the first half break. Burnley returned in the second half to level up.

Jay Rodriguez delivered a fantastic equaliser for the home side just few minutes into the second half. It was his first goal in 50 EPL appearances.

In the 52nd minute, David De Gea made a brilliant save, denying Burnley a second goal and saving United from a possible defeat.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who turned 37 at the weekend, came in as substitute for Edison Cavani. But could not save United this time.

With 39 points in 23 games, United dropped from fourth to fifth place on the EPL log on Tuesday, behind West Ham with one point.
