Super Eagles players and officials will return to training on Wednesday after boycotting Tuesday’s session over unresolved payment issues between the team and the Nigeria Football Federation.

According to Nigerian photojournalist, Sulaiman ‘Pooja’ Adebayo, the NFF and the team have reached a resolution and will train on Wednesday ahead of the crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup African Playoff Tournament game against Gabon on Thursday.

“Resolution reached. The players will be training today,” Mr Adebayo said on X. He followed up the post with a video of the players heading to the training venue.

Reports indicated that the players have not been paid camp allowances and match bonuses since 2019, prompting the players to boycott training on Tuesday as a last resort to demand action from the federation.
