The prosecutor said that the defendants were eventually arrested following police investigation.
The police prosecutor said that the offence contravened Section 302(1)(a) of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State, 2021.
The Prosecutor, ASP Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the defendants committed the offence on March 14, at 7.30 a.m. in Ado-Ekiti.
Mr Oriyomi said the offence contravened Section 345 of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State, 2021.
If convicted of the charged offences, Aina faces a maximum possible sentence of lifetime imprisonment, and Abiodun faces a maximum possible sentence of 40 years’ imprisonment.
If convicted, Anton Peraire-Bueno and James Pepaire-Bueno each face a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison for each count.
The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The suspect pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Mr Olanrewaju is facing a four-count charge of causing unlawful grievous harm, assault and unlawful possession of dangerous weapons.
The convicts, Aliyu Adamu, 24, Ahmed Musa, 18, and Adamu Aliyu, 21, all of Malamre Yola, pleaded guilty to the charge and begged the court for leniency.
