Governor Alex Otti has reiterated his commitment to develop Abia to a “state of our dream.”
The state government has vowed sanctions for operators who default on the directive.
Senate chief whip Orji Kal says he will support any aspirant that will develop Abia when elected.
The Abia South Senatorial District politician spoke on Sunday on 90MinutesAfrica, an online current affairs programme hosted by Rudolf Okonkwo and Chido Onumah.
“Most of the people demanding updates on the flyover don’t have vehicles, they are moving about with legs.”
“If you think what you are saying is right, then you must justify it on the basis of the law, or else the law will take its course.”
The federal government says it has disbursed N1.2 billion to a total of 22,858 Abia beneficiaries.
The governor said they’ll be disappointed if their agenda was “to come and make money.”
