The students are asking that the federal government speed up actions toward resolving the lingering crisis between it and ASUU.
Students of the Federal University of Technology in Akure were protesting over ASUU’s 92-day-old strike.

The suspended chapter said once ASUU national lifts its suspension, the members will join the ongoing strike.
The students chanted solidarity songs and displayed placards with inscriptions, including ‘End ASUU Strike’, ‘Save our future’, and ‘Stop Toying with our Future’,
Students converged on Ibadan, close to the University of Ibadan gate, to stage a peaceful protest over the ongoing warning strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
The president also appealed to the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to consider the plight of students and call off the ongoing strike.
“We wish to urge political parties to consider donating 40 per cent of the total proceeds from the sale of forms to ASUU in the best interest of Nigerian students and youths.”
“We are all affected by the ongoing ASUU strike. But don’t allow it to derail you into criminal or antisocial activities.”
“We will make concerted and sustained efforts to bring back ASUU and the federal government to the negotiating table.”
