He said a preliminary investigation revealed that the truck driver allegedly lost control due to a brake failure and rammed into the victim.
“While these two (2) motorcycle passengers died instantly, the rider later died at a hospital around Satellites Town.”
In a press statement on the agency’s X, its spokesperson, Adebayo Taofiq, stated that the accident resulted from overspeeding.
The truck driver was later handed over by LASTMA officials to the police.Â

The accident involved a fully loaded container truck with registration number JJJ 125 and three tricycles.
The convict was arraigned by the agency on two-count charge of “conduct likely to cause breach of peace” and “impersonation.”
LASTMA said it had concluded arrangements to enforce traffic laws on such recalcitrant bus drivers across the state.
