NFF president Amaju Pinnick and football stakeholders have hailed the Super Eagles over its performance in an international friendly game against Mexico on Sunday.
This update comes after the incumbent NFF president, Amaju Pinnick, stated last month that he won’t be seeking re-election.
The National Stadium, Abuja was vandalised on March 29, after the Super Eagles failed to qualify for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
President Buhari on Sunday gave a pep talk to the Super Eagles, ahead of their second round match against Tunisia.
Eguavoen will work with Salisu Yusuf (Chief Coach); Paul Aigbogun (Assistant Coach); Joseph Yobo (Assistant Coach); Dr Terry Eguaoje (Assistant Coach) and Aloysius Agu (Goalkeeper Trainer).
Mr Pinnick said Air Peace chairman Allen Onyema’s speech on patriotism inspired the Super Eagles victory.
NFF President Amaju Pinnick said the partnership was in line with his vision to make the football governing body self-sufficient.
The heckler condemned the Super Falcons for supporting a “terrorist organisation.”
Only two Nigerians, Amos Adamu, and Oyo Orok, had risen to FIFA Council members’ position in the past.
