Mr Wandai pledged his commitment to conducting transparent, free, and fair local government elections in the state.
Danladi Jatau, speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, announced Mr Wandai’s nomination in a letter from the governor.
He sajd that nine political parties presented candidates in the local government elections.
Mr Wandai noted that the commission was strictly following its timeline of activities for the election.
He reiterated the commitment of the commission to provide a level playing field for all political parties.
Based on the timetable, electioneering campaigns would commence on April 3 and end on August 30.
