According to him, no Nigerian is left at Egypt border, as all Nigerians at that point had been evacuated.
The suspension came after the aviation authority threatened to revoke airlines’ licences due to unpaid debts to the regulatory agency.
“PUBLIC NOTICE: Capt Jamil Abubakar is no longer a pilot @AzmanAir; his last flight with us was 22nd Dec 2019,” Azman Air said in a rebuttal tweet.
“The management of Azman Air will like to inform the general public that we will be halting our operations into Kaduna airport.”
“Actions carried out by the Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) amounted to price-fixing…”
Mr Yunusa stressed that flight delays and cancellations would reduce by 80 per cent immediately relevant agencies attended to “fixable’’ issues.
The suspension was to enable the authority conduct an audit of the airline to determine the root cause(s) of the incidents, and recommend corrective actions to forestall recurrence.
