Mr Akinbiyi explained that during the period, 165 others sustained various degrees of injuries.
Four injured victims were taken to the state hospital.
Mr Akinbiyi advised motorists to always rest well before heading for work.
Mr Akinbiyi said the accident occurred at 1:00 a.m. on the Abeokuta–Kobape–Siun–Sagamu Interchange axis of the expressway.
A spokesperson for TRACE, Babatunde Akinbiyi, disclosed this in a statement in Abeokuta on Friday.
He further said the vehicles involved had been towed to the Atan divisional police station for further investigation.
Mr Ogunyemi advised motorists to avoid unnecessary speed, night travels and overloading.
Mr Akinbiyi advised motorists not to drink alcohol before driving.
Mr Akinbiyi explained that of the deaths recorded, 146 were males and 46 were females from the 630 accident cases recorded in the year.
