Mr Bolarinwa stressed that the incident was a reminder for corporate institutions, government agencies and society at large to recommit to workplace and building safety.
“The findings of the investigation will be made public and all recommendations will be implemented without delay,” said the fire service chief.
The FIRS stated that it would review safety measures across its offices in both rented and owned buildings nationwide.
“Several others escaped unhurt, while efforts are currently ongoing to resuscitate the remaining four individuals,” he said.
The PDP describes the speech as unpresidential, uninspiring and amounts to a waste of valuable time.
“The fire ignited as a result of a power surge when electricity was restored. Fortunately, there was no casualty in the incident.”
