APC spokesman Felix Morka, in a statement on Sunday, attributed the party’s victory at the election to the endorsement of President Bola Tinubu’s leadership.
Fidelix Bagudu of the All Progressives Congress has emerged winner of Saturday’s by-election for the Chikun/Kajuru federal constituency in Kaduna.
The returning officer for the election, Abiodun Oluwadare, declared the election results in the early hours of Sunday in Ibadan.
The by-election is due to the death of a member of the House of Assembly, Olajide Akinremi, which occurred on July 10, 2024.
Mr Hassan said, “On interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime and pleaded for leniency.”
Mr Ehindero will represent the constituency in the House of Representatives by-election on February 3.
The APC’s Jude Ngaji scored 22,778 votes to defeat Mike Usibe of the PDP, who polled 20,590 votes.
The candidate denied the allegation that APC engaged the military to disrupt voting in some wards.
