This latest arrest at the GOP convention came amid an ongoing investigation into the failed assassination attempt on Mr Trump.
Mr Trump cited a 1982 ruling by the Supreme Court, which affirmed the immunity of presidents for actions taken “within the ‘outer perimeter’ of their official responsibilities.”
Six individuals have been tried and convicted of several crimes relating to the January 6 Capitol attack.
Mr Trump is under state and federal investigations to determine whether he violated the law with the roles he played during the January 6 “insurrection”
“Right now, we pay taxes. We pay our fair share as American citizens,” Mr Owolewa argued. “We don’t get back what everybody else does.
“It is obvious that he is the low budget Trump when damages done to their countries are compared.”

The Buhari administration has persevered in its long-standing quest to censor the social media in Nigeria.
Mr. Trump has responded with a promise to all his supporters that he will come up with another way to propagate his messages.
