The CDS stated that more than 120,000 insurgents and their families had surrendered since the inception of the programme.

He said the friendship and unity that existed within the armed forces could not be found anywhere else.
Mr Irabor made the disclosure during the fifth Stakeholders’ Meeting of Operation Safe Corridor (OPSC), on Thursday in Abuja.
The general said Pakistan would be a useful partner to Nigeria in its ongoing military campaign against insurgency.
The service chiefs were fired on Tuesday.
