The commissioner urged parents and community members to collaborate with the government to ensure every child has access to quality education.
“Our children are our most precious assets. Their dreams shape Edo’s future. We must protect them, support them, and nurture their unique gifts,” he said.
“Children’s Day is a reminder that we must do everything within our power to protect the next generation,” said Ms Ilorin.
The speaker congratulated the children on their special day, calling for the provision of the best education for them.

The hunters’ deputy boss also urged parents to spend more time with their children and wards to ensure a better society.
“To the teachers, kindly take these children as your biological children if you want to succeed in life,” she said.
He said part of the government’s intervention was the school feeding programme, which had increased children’s enrollment in schools.
