Nigerians are being asked to support the military and other security agencies in tackling insecurity in the country.
The COAS explained that the activities of oil thieves and illegal oil bunkering in the region were bleeding the nation’s economy.
Faruk Yahaya said the army was satisfied with the achievements it recorded in 2021.
The COAS charged troops to continue on the offensive so as to eliminate the criminals to a point where they surrender to the government.
“Receiving the report, Governor Nasir El-Rufai expressed deep regret at the further loss of life from such attacks in the area.”
The governor said these local government areas have been under repeated attacks by bandits who kill, rape and destroy properties.

The COAS made the disclosure while briefing reporters after his maiden visit to the 1 Brigade, Nigerian Army, in Gusau.
