The drugs, worth the equivalent of €8.5 million ($9.06 million) and destined for an EU country, were hidden in mattresses.
Mr Danmalam urged the public to shun illicit drug abuse and trafficking.
The man was allegedly accused of having brutally raped and physically assaulted his former partner last May.
Mr Babafemi said the raid was conducted by the NDLEA and the Abia Homeland Security men on the property at 23 Arochukwu Street, Umuahia.
The NDLEA commander said 640 suspects, comprising 614 males and 26 females, were arrested within the period under review.
The Southeast Asian country has no death sentence for a drug trafficker.
The NDLEA spokesman also stated that sniffer dogs assisted in the discovery of the cocaine and “Colorado’’ wrapped in 1,274 parcels.
The command also destroyed more than 15 tonnes of assorted narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in 2023, he added.
“Control and legalisation can do better than mere repression.”
