INEC has reaffirmed its commitment to youth inclusion, urging active participation in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration and future elections.

According to him, 57,598 completed online preregistration and 28,141 physical registration. He noted that the second phase of the nationwide CVR would resume on January 5.
He called for sustained partnership to tackle vote-buying, rigging, and deliberate falsehoods.
INEC has announced that more than eight million Nigerians have completed the pre-online registration in the nationwide Continuous Voter Registration.
This, he said, was to enable them to obtain their PVCs ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“The government must adopt a political solution to this situation. I do not believe that the government has any serious advantage in keeping him any further,” Ohanaeze said.
He appreciated the positive response of citizens and organisations that had mobilised civic participation for the exercise.
