This was the second time the bridge was vandalised since former President Muhammadu Buhari inaugurated it on May 23, 2023.
Mr Umahi said, “All tenants within the Landmark premises have been shortlisted for payments by 2 p.m. today.”
Mr Umahi began the demolition after he inspected kilometres 13, 16 and 20 to ensure a viable way to access the coastal roads without much damage.
The opposition leader said the tentative cost of N15.6 trillion was the equivalent of the total budget of all 36 states of the federation combined.
“We, therefore, request that President Tinubu should introduce measures that will help him to identify performing and underperforming ministers.”
“I also believe that what he is bringing to the table will rub off positively on Enugu State, the entire South-East states,” he said.
Mr Umahi said most of the roads currently being constructed in the country could not last seven years after construction.
The minister pledged that no road would be left unattended.
The Senate received a second list of 19 nominees from Tinubu last Wednesday.
The ongoing currency swap, fuel shortages in some parts of the country and their possible effects on the general elections might have been discussed at the meeting.
