Mr Mark specifically warned the Senate, led by Godswill Akpabio, against usurping the powers of the electoral body ahead of the 2027 general election.
According to ADC, the request is guided by the need to protect inclusivity.
“We do not claim to be perfect, but do not doubt our sense of duty and our commitment to be on the good side of history,” said Mr Mark.
Mr Mark urged citizens to remain hopeful, law-abiding, and committed to nation-building despite prevailing socio-economic challenges facing the country.
“This mandate is about tackling corruption and not any imaginary adversary or political motive,” the EFCC stated.
In his exit letter, Mr Ologbodiyan appreciated the PDP for the opportunity to serve the party.
The deceased served with “distinction” as chief of staff to the president from 1999 to 2007.
Mr Mark said, “I received the heartbreaking news with great shock and profound sadness.’’
The judge adjourned the matter until October 23 for a hearing.
Mr Mark urged Nigerians to use the lessons of the past as a guide to make informed choices in the 2027 general elections.
