Governor David Umahi has urged Ebonyi residents to submit participate the 2023 national census.
The governors disclosed this in a communique issued at the end of the forum’s meeting held at the Government House, Enugu on Sunday.
“The hoodlums engaged the security operatives in the council in a gun battle. Some of the hoodlums sustained gunshot injuries.”
“We are working hard to find the causes of the matter, and we’re working with security agencies, including the police and DSS, to investigate the matter.”
The federal government also disclosed that EB-CSDA, FADAMA, and MSMEs beneficiaries are owed over 12 months of arrears of salaries since July 2021.
Mr Umahi also urged people to play down on party politics, describing equity as the quality of being fair and impartial.
The Ebonyi State governor said Mr Obi’s candidacy signals hope for an Igbo presidency.
Witnesses said the gunmen arrived on motorcycles.
Justice Fatun Riman described the exercise as undemocratic and unlawful.
Mr Umahi gave the directive while addressing people of the area, noting that the affected inhabitants would be resettled immediately.
