Mr Ologunagba said that the decision was taken at the 571st meeting of the NWC on Tuesday in Abuja.
Mr Ologunagba commended the Supreme Court for its courage in upholding justice and reaffirming that “the Judiciary is the last hope of the common man.”
The party urged the judiciary not to budge under APC pressure but instead discharge its constitutional duties as an independent and impartial arbiter.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has decried the “deliberate suppression” of Nigerian workers’ rights, well-being and opportunities.
“It is even more absurd that the Adamawa REC did not only usurp the powers of the returning officer but attempted to declare a winner without figures.”
Mr Ologunagba said results uploaded on INEC Result Viewing Portal (IRev) already showed that Mr Fintiri won the election.
PDP has asked Hudu Arim, INEC’s resident electoral commissioner in Adamawa, to recuse himself from conducting the April 15 rerun governorship election.
Mr Ologunagba said that the PDP met on Thursday and extensively discussed recent developments in the party.
The PDP said that its candidate, Oladipupo Adebutu, was in clear lead before the process was compromised by INEC.
Mr Ologunagba said that the committee was expected to run the affairs of the party in the state for a period not exceeding 90 days.
