The PDP lamented that the naira, “which exchanged for N187 to the dollar under the PDP” had fallen to N1000, and fuel which sold at N87 per liter now sells for over N600.
He called on the federal government to beef up security around the Supreme Court.
The PDP said, “Indeed, the judgment is generous in technicalities and very short in delivering substantial justice in the matter.”
“A new date for the formal campaign launch will be communicated by the party leadership in due course,” Mr Ologunagba said.
The PDP said this in a statement by its national publicity secretary, Debo Ologunagba in Abuja on Monday.
He said the ruling party has instead committed Nigeria “to the mercies of foreign interests and market forces.”
Mr Ologunagba added that even with the subsidy removal on petroleum products, fuel should be sold for at most N150 per litre in Nigeria.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has urged Muslims to pray for the triumph of justice and God’s will in Nigeria’s affairs.
Mr Ologunagba emphasised the legislature’s independence and insisted that members must be allowed to elect their presiding officers.
The party’s call was due to attacks on its members at governorship election petition tribunal premises in Ogun, Nasarawa, Kaduna.
