“We have arrested some suspects who specialise in robbing warehouses, churches and event centres,” the Delta police spokesperson said.
The police said the investigation revealed that aside from the hoodlums’ involvement in cult-related activities, they were also suspected to be armed robbers.
“Upon searching the suspects and the vehicle, a locally made cut-to-size gun and two live cartridges were recovered,” the command’s spokesperson revealed.”

Mr Edafe condemned greedy people dealing in banned and controlled drugs.
The police spokesperson said the teenagers were arrested after receiving the N700,000 ransom from one of their parents.
The commissioner warned other officers against trampling on the rights of citizens.
Mr Edafe said the suspects had confessed to their involvement in the crime and other kidnapping incidents in Delta.
The police said they found one locally-made, cut-to-size gun loaded with one live cartridge on the 35-year-old suspect during a stop-and-search operation.
