The police command in Bauchi says it has arrested two male suspects in connection with alleged sexual abuse involving minors in Tilden Fulani, Toro LGA of the state.
Mr Egbetokun described the facility as a major milestone in the Nigeria Police Force’s efforts to enhance security infrastructure and strengthen community partnerships.
The police spokesman said the suspects connived and lured the victim into a nearby bush and had carnal knowledge of her.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The police said a suspect was apprehended in connection with the case and was presently helping the police in their investigation.
The prosecutor said the defendant was arrested during the police investigation, and he voluntarily confessed to committing the crime.
“The fact-finding team then moved to Hajiya Gambo Sawaba General Hospital, Zaria, where the victim was formally confirmed dead.”
The chief magistrate, Roseline Iyorshie, did not take his plea for want of jurisdiction.
He was later traced to the farm by his people and they saw his phone and his vehicle intact but could not find him.”
