The command stated that there would be no preferential treatment, exemption, or special consideration for any individual or organisation found contravening the directive.
Additional security measures are scheduled to take effect from May 18.
Mr Ikenga said that the Joint Security Force in the state had already stepped up surveillance and patrols.
He assured the command’s commitment to maintaining law and order before, during, and after the celebration.
Mr Egbetokun said it was part of an effort to promote a conducive learning environment and highlight the importance of strong security resilience in communities.
The CP gave the assurance on Sunday.
The police boss ordered the supervisory officers to ensure adequate security before, during, and after the forthcoming Christmas and New Year celebrations.
This was disclosed by Benjamin Hindeyin, spokesman for the Lagos police command, on Friday in a press statement.
“On sighting the police, they quickly tried to manoeuvre to escape but the police went after them.”
