The FRSC State Sector Commander, Dr Samuel Ibitoye, confirmed the incident to journalists on Wednesday in Akure.
The sector commander said the outreach was brought to motor parks, union members, and drivers to assess their health status and stay healthy.
Mr Ibitoye said the command also deployed ambulances to cover corridors prone to crashes.
The VC stated, “Without the road safety officials, the roads would have been a death trap.’’
Mr Ibitoye said that the accident involved a Nissan Sunny car and a Tipper, DAF model 202345.
Mr Subaru stated that the victims had been taken to Gombe State for further medical treatment.
The FRSC said that five ambulance vehicles and power bikes would be at flashpoints such as Ikare-Akoko, Owo, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo and Ore-Lagos highway.
Mr Ibitoye said, “Enforcement is ongoing to address ‘mixed loading’ which is the mixture of humans and goods/animals
Mr Ibitoye appealed to those who were still driving without obtaining valid licences to immediately regularise their documents.
