Nigeria welcomed the memorandum on the early warning mechanism, signed by both countries, and urged its immediate activation whenever threats emerge.
This was disclosed in a statement on Wednesday, following the visit by Mohamed Abdelaal, Sudan’s ambassador to Nigeria, to the ministry.
Mr Ebienfa said, “The ministry firmly disassociates itself from this impersonation and urges the public to disregard any messages from the fake account.’’
Mr Tuggar said this during the inauguration and sensitisation ceremony of the system in foreign affairs ministry in Abuja.
Mr Osman reiterated that both countries would work closely together amidst economic challenges in different parts of the world.
“As a close friend of Nigeria, Israel seeks to provide aid to those who need it the most,” Mr Freeman said.
