The petitioner explained that Mr Adebanbo defrauded him of N65.7 million under the pretence that he could supply him with 90,000 litres of naphtha.
The operatives of the commission also recovered a pump-action rifle and live cartridges from one of the suspects.
The suspect, bearing many aliases (Fahad Makwe, Senator Tompolo, Tom Makwe, Dr Bran), defrauded a Spaniard of €5.7 million,” said the EFCC

Wilson Uwajaren, EFCC spokesman, said he has not been briefed on the development when The Gazette reached him for comments on Friday.
Corruption is rife in Nigeria in the public and private sectors.
The EFCC recovered five vehicles, 32 mobile phones, eight laptops and incriminating materials from the suspects.
The EFCC is alleging that the former governor awarded contracts to companies where he was an interested party, using his two sons as fronts.
The source said the chairman and managing director of Finex Professional, Anthony Yaro, was also arrested alongside the former Zamfara governor.
The suspects would be arraigned in court as soon as investigations are concluded, the EFCC said.
