On Friday, the coalition applied to INEX seeking the registration of a new political party, All Democratic Alliance (ADA).
This came weeks after coalition members held a meeting in Abuja as part of moves to challenge Mr Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
At the event, Mr El-Rufai, who championed Mr Tinubu’s presidential campaign in 2023, called for a coalition to oust the president from office.
Mr El-Rufai said the people determine election outcomes not the governors or the president.
Mr El-Rufai, however, refused to mention the names of those who have been contracted to destabilise opposition political parties
Mr Bwala stressed that the former governor’s decision would be subject to further interrogation.
Mr El-Rufai’s switch from a bitter critic of Mr Abubakar comes after he fell out with President Bola Tinubu.
“Kaduna was an apartheid state for eight years,” Mr Sani said, taking aim at former Governor Nasir el-Rufai.

They condemned the alleged financial mismanagement, abuse of power and a growing debt burden incurred for eight years by Mr El-Rufai’s administration.
