“The state will also establish mobile courts during the ember months to expedite the prosecution of offenders,” the FRSC commander said.
“16 people were involved in the accident, comprising 12 men, three women and one female child,” she said.
Ms Okpe said men of the Ogun State Fire Service were at the scene of the crash, with efforts ongoing to put out the fire.
She stated that the accident was caused by speeding which led to loss of control on the part of the driver of the bus.
Mr Umar said the accident that occurred at about 4:30 a.m., was caused by excessive speed and loss of control by one of the drivers.
The bus with number plate KAA 601 XA caught fire at about 8:38 a.m. while in motion due to a mechanical fault.
FRSC sector commander in Ogun said “a total of 20 men were involved in the accident, five of whom got injured while two deaths were recorded.”
The accident was caused by route violation and dangerous driving, a road safety spokesman said.
The accident was caused by the driver of the truck, who was said to be overspeeding and driving dangerously.
The accident occurred at 12:01 a.m. and was caused by wrong overtaking, speeding, and loss of control by the luxury bus driver.
