NRC says it has begun constructing underground pass and overhead bridges at the 11 level crossings across Lagos State to avoid accidents.
No casualties were immediately confirmed from the incident, which came barely days after an Itakpe-Warri line derailed in a thick forest in Kogi.
In an interview on Saturday, Mr Okhiria said the corporation arrived at the figure using the working document for earnings between January and March.
Mr Okhiria, however, advised passengers wishing to utilise the service to commence updating of their mobile app as from December 3, to enable them to successfully book for the ride.
“The team is made up of the office of the chief of defence staff, the chief of army staff, the IG, DSS and the military intelligence,” said the NRC chief.
The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) on Monday morning delayed Lagos-Ibadan train over insufficient fuel.
The train service chief lamented that the trip reduction was the only way for the NRC to cope with the increase in diesel prices.
This requirement was stated by the Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), Fidet Okhiria, in Abuja on Thursday.
“They (the contractors) said there are seven buildings remaining and that they will be ready before September.”
“Seven NRC staff, five are safe and two missing. Ten janitors, six are safe, three missing and one dead. Also, one caterer is safe while two are missing.”
