In addition to the newly found, no fewer than 200 persons on the manifest are confirmed to be safe.
Mr Okhiria noted that the corporation was working with security agencies to rescue the missing persons.
The train said to be conveying about 1000 passengers has a total seat capacity of 840. The train manifest contained 362 validated passengers aboard.
The incident came two days after armed gangs invaded Kaduna International Airport, killing aviation workers and leaving many others wounded.
“They were able to get (a) drum of diesel to fill the tank and continued the journey back to Lagos,” Mr Okhiria claimed.
”I think in five years we will be hoping that somebody can leave Lagos and get to Abuja within eight hours by rail,” MD Fidet Okhiria said.
Due to technical glitches, the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has suspended the 8:00 a.m. train ride from Ujevwu in Delta from January 17.
The federal government had declared free train rides for Nigerians from December 24 to January 4.
Passengers “are, however, advised to ensure they obtain their tickets from appropriate quarters at no cost” to enjoy the free train rides.
The managing director said the reduction in the number of trips is to carry out scheduled maintenance.
